The Monument Sathorn: A Rare Freehold, Low-Density Address in Bangkok's Old-Money District

The Monument Sathorn is Sansiri's legacy condominium brand returning to market after a decade, now backed by Sansiri's first strategic joint venture with Nomura Real Estate (Thailand), a 55:45 partnership behind a project valued at roughly THB 4.5 billion. Set on Sathorn Soi 10, one of the last privately held plots in Bangkok's old money CBD, the development sits just 80 metres from BTS Saint Louis, tucked away from the traffic of Sathon Road itself. The building rises 29 storeys and holds just 185 freehold units, a genuinely low density count for a site this central. Layouts range from 39 sq.m. one bedrooms up to 303 sq.m. penthouses, of which only two exist in the entire building, and parking runs above 102 percent so residents never compete for a space. Select mid to upper floor units frame views of King Power Mahanakhon, Thailand's tallest building. The design concept, Monument of Nature and Heritage, centers on a 55-year-old pink trumpet tree preserved at the entrance, alongside natural materials like Arabescato marble and White Travertine carried through the lobby, sky facilities and penthouse interiors. Amenities are stacked across floors 25 to 29: a pool, gym, pilates studio, onsen, children's playground, private dining room and The Canopy, a rooftop garden 29 storeys above the city. The project also debuts SANSIRI PAW & CO., Sansiri's first dedicated pet and human living concept, with a Pet Sky Lounge, Pet Sky Park and Pet Grooming & Spa built into the sky facilities.

Buying property overseas is a serious decision — especially in a fast-moving, unfamiliar market like Bangkok. Whether you're a first-time buyer or an experienced investor, both resale and pre-sale condos can be solid investments, with the potential to deliver healthy rental yields and capital gains. Each, however, comes with a distinct set of advantages and risks.

A Step by Step Guide to Buying Resale Property in Thailand

Bangkok condos remain one of the most accessible income-producing assets for international investors — strong yields, deep tenant demand, and a well-developed resale market that lets you start collecting rent the day the keys change hands. But the resale process in Thailand has its own rhythm, and getting the steps and tax structure right makes the difference between a smooth closing and an expensive surprise.
